Rose Wairimu, Beneficiary, Scholarship Program
I finished primary school and got a c+, unfortunately I didn’t manage to join secondary school due to financial constraints. After two or so years, I opted for casual jobs as I didn’t have anything else to do at home.
After some time I got married but life wasn’t any better. Now with a husband and two children. It was a real struggle. School fees, food, rent and other family expenses. 6 months after the children joined kindergarten, my husband lost his job. Nothing can explain what we were going through.
Luckily in 2019, I was introduced to Inua Village to Global Foundation. I explained to its team my desire to go back to school. They accepted me into their adult education initiative which is under the scholarship programme. I am under a full secondary school scholarship since 2019. Currently reading for my K.C.S.E. The exam will be this
December, 2022.
I am very grateful and delighted that I will be achieving my goals after so many years. I hope to continue to college and do nursing.
To Inua Village to Global Foundation and its partners, thank you for supporting my dream. Giving me hope and the light.
